Vaccines, vet visits, meds, a home health log, walks and recovery plans, all in one place. Free, with no account, and your records stay on your phone.
Luna
Every record, written down once.
Point your camera at a vaccine card and Tailbook turns it into records on your phone. You check each field, fix anything, and save.
- Vaccines with lot number, rabies tag and certificate
- Vet visits in your vet's own words
- Conditions, allergies and reactions, so the next vet knows
- Lab results with the lab's own ranges, and how each value has moved over time
- Medications with the label details, and each dose marked given or missed
- Reminders before a vaccine, med or check-up is due
- A one-page pet passport to share with a boarder, sitter or new vet

When your vet asks you to keep an eye on something, Tailbook keeps the log, so the next visit starts with facts instead of memory.
- Sleeping-breath counter that shows your vet's number next to yours
- Seizure timer with an emergency screen if it runs long
- Quick logs for vomiting, stool, appetite, water, cough, itch and the litter box
- A vet report PDF to send before the appointment
- Ask: emergency checks and food-safety answers that run on your phone. On supported iPhones, Apple Intelligence also writes general answers, right on the iPhone.

Before you head out, Tailbook checks the heat. On the way, it notes whether the route was flat or hilly. After surgery, it follows the plan your vet gave you, one day at a time.
- Heat check before every walk
- Flat or hilly, measured by your iPhone's barometer
- Recovery plans your vet prescribes, like after knee surgery, with daily check-offs and a check the next morning
- Weight and food plan for dogs

What Tailbook won't do
Tailbook keeps the record and helps you notice changes. Your vet is the one who examines your pet.
-
It won't diagnose.
Tailbook never tells you what your pet has. It shows what you logged and what your vet wrote.
-
It won't give doses.
Medicine amounts come from your vet and the label. Tailbook records what you enter and when it was given.
-
It won't stand in for your vet.
If something seems wrong, call your vet. Tailbook can help you describe what you saw.
In an emergency, call your vet or the nearest emergency vet now. For a possible poisoning, call ASPCA Animal Poison Control at (888) 426-4435. A fee may apply.
Questions
More answers, and a way to reach us, on the support page.
Is Tailbook really free?
Yes. There is nothing to buy today. If we add paid plans later, we'll say so clearly and update the privacy policy before they launch.
Do I need an account?
No. Install it, add your pet, and start. There's no sign-up and no email address.
Where is my pet's information stored?
On your iPhone. Tailbook doesn't keep a copy on a server. You can export everything as a file, or delete it all, from Settings in the app.
Does it work for cats?
Yes. Records, reminders, the passport, the home health log (including the litter box log) and Ask all work for cats. The weight and food plan and walks are for dogs.
Which iPhones can use Ask?
Emergency checks and food-safety answers run on any iPhone that runs Tailbook. General answers are written by Apple Intelligence on the iPhone, so they need a model that supports Apple Intelligence, with it turned on in Settings.
Can Tailbook tell me what's wrong with my pet?
No. It never diagnoses and never suggests doses. It helps you keep track and tells you when to call your vet. In an emergency, call your vet or the nearest emergency vet right away.
